This season i am stepping our of my normal sports comfort zone to become one of the two coaches for the u5/6 age group. My son Harry started last season and absolutely loves rugby, so i stepped up and took on the role as coach. Although new to rugby i am not new to sport, i have been involved for 26 years and coached for 6 in martial arts namely Jado Kuin Do, and take my 3rd degree black belt later this month., my coaching skills are transferrable and i am adapting to rugby.
My aims this season are;
to fully intergrate in the club using my experience of ther sports and merging it with all the rugby knowledge the club are providing me. The team here are fantastic and extremly supporttive and helpful, thank you.
I have booked on RFU courses to develop my skills and knowledge of coaching to ensure the young players develop this season.
The u5/6 are the roots of the club, and its my role to develop their love and enjoyment of the game and develop them for the u7 age group, all sessions are based around fun.
Outside of rugby i am a tottenham fan, and enjoy music, tattooes and tattoo art.
I look forward to meeting and getting to know you all over the coming season as we watch the young players grow into a team.
