Welcome Back to the New Season!
Dear Club Members,
I hope this letter finds you well and excited for the upcoming rugby season. As we gear up for another year, I wanted to take a moment to welcome both our returning members and those joining us for the first time.
Reflecting on the Past Season: Last season was filled with memorable moments and significant achievements. Our teams showed incredible dedication and sportsmanship, and we couldn't be prouder of their efforts. A special thank you to all the volunteers, coaches, and supporters and sponsors who made it all possible.
Looking Ahead: This season promises to be even more exciting. We have a packed schedule of fixtures and events, and we are committed to providing a positive and inclusive environment for all our members. Whether you're a player, coach, parent, or supporter, your involvement is crucial to our success.
Key Updates:
Training and Matches: Preseason training for Seniors has commenced and our league fixtures are now live on our website. Our Mini & Junior section is also busy preparing for the new season. Please check the club website for the full schedule.
Facilities: We have invested in our pitches over the summer and have a clean-up day planned for 12th July. Please reach out to your coaches for more information or see our social media pages
Memberships: We’ve revamped our membership offering this season to appeal to a wider audience, more details can be found on our website
Events: The bar is open every Tuesday and Thursday and will also be showing British & Irish Lions games on Saturdays, food is available on the test match days. On 1st August our annual interclub match takes place between the Chairman’s XV and President’s XV, the bar will be open and I look forward to seeing many of you there.
Club Kit: An extensive range of Daventry Rugby Club merchandise is available via o'neills our kit partner and we will be offering some items within our onsite kit shop this season.
Funding: Our club is part of the local lotto, a local weekly draw with tickets at £1. The Jackpot is £25k and our club receives part of the tickets sales where participant have chosen Daventry RFC and their supported cause. https://www.local-lotto.co.uk/support/daventry-rugby-club
Get Involved: We are always looking for volunteers to help with various aspects of the club, from coaching to event organization. If you are interested in contributing, please reach out to myself or a member of the management team
